2.5GLS CRDi VGT Royale (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 7.5 km/litre (13.3 L/100 km), Diesel, Mileage: 1,200 km/month
very spacious, good for parents with kids (I used to bring my kids around with their grandparents and there are still plenty of space to move around in the car)
2.5L with turbo, the engine gives you enough power and you won't feel the weight of the car much
    fuel efficiency was good
    seats are soft and comfortable
reverse and front camera was given as standard (very useful in parking this huge car)
    car recorder is given too
the reason why i bought Starex instead of Vellfire is because it's a brand new car, 5 years warranty given
diesel engine gives you the typical diesel noise
engine noise is disturbing to the driver and front passenger
the injector (to be exact, 2 injectors) of the engine broke down in 9 months after i used (but warranty was given to replace new ones)
Oil filter gets blocked 1 month after the latest service (warranty given does not cover this)
the DRL at wing mirror irritates motorist at both sides
comfort level is way below Alphard or Vellfire
To Improve
better engine
more comfortable seats
Yes, I would recommend this car

2.5GLS CRDi VGT Royale (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 7.0 km/litre (14.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
You will never have lack of space
Great power even on full load climbing steep hills
Comfortable long distance cruiser for driver and passangers
11 seater that has head and leg space for adults, not kids only seats even in last row
Movable seats and 2nd row rotates to increase space usage flexibility
aircond vents through out the car and has its own controls
Totally no 3 point seat belts for passangers. Only lap belts.
    Spartan interior
    Basic and boring dashboard
Low tech controls - manual aircond, no audio controls on steering
    No front parking sensors
Rear parking camera unusable if rear windscreen is wet or dirty. Rear wipers DO NOT reach.
All seats do not fold flat or stow away. Impossible to carry large items from Ikea
To Improve
NVH - add more sound proofing to firewall, engine clutter is too loud
turbo lag - 2 seconds of no response after throttle on
Better placement of rear camera or longer wipers
Removable last row of seats
Power doors and power boot as standard
Yes, I would recommend this car

2.5GLS CRDi VGT Royale (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Diesel, Mileage: 2,500 km/month
Spacious, People Carrier at it's best, very powerful torque (392Nm of powerful torque) & usable Sat Nav.
After 6 months, 'mouse squeaky' noise has started to surface, cream coloured trim leather made it looked more dirty especially if you are carrying kids on your daily commuting. (dark / black would be better) & LED lamps are been positioned too high at side mirrors & irritate other drivers and pedestrians (should be installed near front lamps). Braking system feels too 'fragile' & cannot cope with the massive vehicle torque / acceleration.
To Improve
Improve the braking systems, as it feel like the vehicle's brake could not handle the speed especially during acceleration. LED lamps should be positioned much lower than at side mirrors. Hyundai Sime Darby should look into the cost of servicing the vehicle as it is too expensive with shorter KM interval (5000KM per service)
Yes, I would recommend this car
