Bought used, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 6.0 km/litre (16.7 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 500 km/month
    - Despite a hefty weight of more than 2 tons, the car is very quick off the mark and it tallied with the claimed 7.3-7.5sec to 100kmh. You can chase Q7 4.2 no problem from traffic light :)
    - Very comfortable ride despite the suspensions are tuned to be quite firm. Still feeling OK after 4-5 hours drive.
    - Space very, very huge. Can sit 7 adults comfortably. 2 adults can sit at the third row comfortable, as long as no more than 1.75m height.
    - NVH is okay, better than my CX-5. Still quiet until 140kmh and above.
    - Surprisingly spare parts still cheaper than continentals. Being top dog in Mazda, i would expect prices will be at par with continental parts.
    - Very smooth engine and gearbox. Speeding at 150kmh, the tachometer shows less than 3000rpm. WOW. Can reach 180kmh very quick, but that's it. Anybody knows how to remove speed limiter?
    - Top speed is limited to 180kmh. Dang..
    - This is one huge fuel guzzler. One full tank (76 litre) can go up to 450-500km only.
    - No GPS, no 2-DIN player, no rear camera (this one was a challenge because the car is so huge, you can't seem see everything at the back
    - Despite acceptable price for spare parts, the tyre cost is too massive. It is a 245/50 R20 inch! Cost a bomb each at RM1500 minimum..
To Improve
The current CX-9 has addressed all those shortcomings as i mentioned above, except the tyre price, fuel consumption and speed limited.
Please remove speed limiter and bring in turbocharged engine!
Yes, I would recommend this car
