Fuel Economy: 12.0 km/litre (8.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
superb acceleration, can beat vios 1.5 easily, wira1.5 also can eat my smoke
fuel ok only, not so save, 12 - 15km / litre, rpm below 3k, sometimes only over 3k rpm
handling so nice, main point for proton, agile at corner, easily can beat vios or myvi
air cond demn good, better than myvi
noisy engine, need more noise insulation, u can do it DIY actually
some noisy with suspension system, knocking sound when u hit bump, SC also do not know to repair this
pedal clutch cable always lose and make rattling sound, no effect to safety of course, send to SC 6 times also cant repair
material for interior seem cheap compare to myvi cause not solid
To Improve
what is cons
optimum level speed shud be higher, now is at 90kmh @ 3k rpm, pls make it 110kmh at 3k rpm

SV CVT (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 12.0 km/litre (8.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 3,000 km/month
-Fuel efficiency considerable good enough for 1.3.Mine around 12-15km perliter.Around 350-400km 1 tank combined use.
-Good car with offered price. Its good 4 power windows and 2 airbag to.
    -Quite good handling
-Very bright headlamps (and stylish looking to)
-Good quality audio although mine is basic sv cvt that came with 2 speaker only.
-I like the instrument panel.just nice and simple.
    -Aircond is freezing cold.
-Well mine came with 3 years free service. That good for me.
-Overall SV CVT is good entry level car for fresh graduate or who's want to buy first car with tight budget.
-Noisy engine when revving up for passing
-A little jerk in CVT but that not a problem for me.
-Very plastic-look dash board and door panel.
-I can hear tyre sound and engine scream when driving at highway speed@110kmh.
-Small tank.Just RM40-50 to full tank when indicator is blinking.
-A little rear brake noise after use its for 1 month.Got change already by Proton
To Improve
-Improve sound insulation.
-I think i want a more thicker seat(coz i'am a big person)
- Maybe a i want more goods service of Proton Service then complaints about car.I am satisfied with the price i paid.

FLX Executive CVT (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 4 Years
Fuel Economy: 14.0 km/litre (7.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,500 km/month
-Good composure at corner, stable at high speed up to 140km/h, comfortable cruising at speed below 100km/h,
    - reasonable FC at speed between 80-100km/h. managed to get 17km/L on long journey
-Value for many compared to the popular hatch (at that time) FLX Exec with 2 airbags, ABS & EBD @ RM44k
    spacious rear seat,
    - the look is no head turner but it doesn't look old-the FLX
    - good stock audio system Clarion+4 std speaker
    - after 3 YEARS NO dashboard RATTLING, a 1ST for my long list of proton cars
    - CVT from Punch very bad, noisy, jerking at slow speed - never buy again
    - FC above 100km/h not so good
    - cost of servicing at SC is considerably high
    - road and engine roar is high when going faster than 100km/h
    - brake pedal is substantially higher than the gas pedal, long legged guy like me may suffer DVT in traffic jam. push the seat back too far than i cannot reach the steering
    - plastic steering material is hard and maybe a bit abrasive, not nice to hold on long journey
To Improve
- get a better CVT with torque converter
- improve NVH - minimal to no sound insulation observed
- improve ergonomics and touch points

FLX SE 1.6 Executive CVT (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 3 Years
Fuel Economy: 19.0 km/litre (5.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,600 km/month
    - Good Fuel Efficiency , get 19 km/liter on highway from Kuala Lumpur to Kulim. Keeping rev below 2500 and with average speed of 90km/hour. and roughly 15-16 km/liter in city with my driving style. Tested and proven.
    - Good handling and cornering, could do 80 -100 km/ hour on corners without problems and still feel confident while taking it and the steering is a little bit heavy but have a decent feel on it for me. Hate steering wheel which is too light. The Synergy M5 tires have a good grip on dry and even on wet road.
    - Spacious, for a compact sedan, it's quite large and able to fit in 4 full grown adults comfortably with a lot of legroom and headroom. However gonna be a little bit cramp if try to squeeze 5 persons in it unless if it smaller adults.
    - Good exterior looks, the design doesn't look old and feels a lot more sportier with the 1.6 se with it's body kits.
    - Good engine, the campro iafm+ engine it job just about right, doesn't feel under powered for most situation and just about nice. Even with full capacity the car still doesn't feel struggling while going uphill. But for overtaking it might be a little slow to respond due to the CVT but CVT is all about fuel saving not performance.
-Leather seat, make the look inside feel more premium and the leather are from good quality and the red line stitching are making it even more elegant inside however this is only available for high spec 1.6 variant.
-Nice 15" sport rim. It has a decent look on it rims. Probably not the best nor the stylish looking rims but it fit just right with the car to give it a sportier look.
    - Airconds works perfectly, one of Proton bestest skills, it's cold and contribute well for the passenger in our hot climate country.
    - Lights Bright, no complain, I could see the darkest road with these front lights and fog lamps.
    - NVH terrible, the noise insulation and dampening of Saga no matter what variant you buy are almost to none existence. Even when driving at 40-90km/hour, the tires and engine noise slips into the passenger cabin. On higher speed 100km and above , the wind noise takes over and all of this are really irritating. Installing soundproof might solve this problems(wind and engine) and changing tires. Synergy M5 emits a lot of noise but it does grip real good on the road.
    - Engine jerking, the engine tend to jerk especially when reversing. However this doesn't happened frequently.
    - Safety features, only have 2 airbags and ABS. Seriously?
    - Plastic. At least use some soft touch plastic with high quality here and there. I can see a lot of cheap plastic everywhere in the car. Only the leather seat and good combination of color make it feel a little premium but once you inside and touches, naah. Not really.
    - Engine cover, No engine cover. Why doesn't it have an engine cover?
    - Doors, The doors sound terrible when you close it, feels cheap and like a tin box. Too light.
To Improve
- Improve the NVH, put a lot more sound insulation and dampening(at least between the engine and cabin). Seriously this is not a joke.
- Make the door a lot heavier so doesn't feel like tin box. Put in sound proof there or make the material a little more thick on doors so the occupant feels a little more safer and have a decent feel and sound of the door.
- After sale, yes, after sale, please improve the after sale service.
- Put in some soft touches of good quality plastic and grille here and there for the interior
- Engine cover, please put one.
- CVT not 100% smooth, It suppose to be smooth as knife cut through butter but this one got a few unintended chunks in it. Jerking at low speed and while reversing.

FLX Executive MT (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 4 Years
Fuel Economy: 19.0 km/litre (5.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
    - 19km/L, with RON92 Pertamax
    - Low Price, only US$12,000 in 2011 (compare to Daihatsu Sirion US$15,000)
    - Body paint is very scratch resistance (thick clear coat?)
    - Equipped with Coil on Plug
    - Durable interior plastic
    - Powerful engine, good acceleration
    - Passenger Airbag
    - Adjustable ignition timing matrix in ECU
    - OEM Battery last for 3 years
    - Reliable accessories (power window, electric mirror, power lock, alarm, reverse sensor, etc.)
    - Good handling
    - Spacious Boot
    - No throttle delay
    - When the car was delivered, the aircond compressor filled with too much oil
    - Noise from engine and tire is loud, no suppression at all. But it is $12k car.
    - Rear and front brake got jammed on 2nd year
    - Headlamp died every 6 month
    - Rear suspension too soft and saggy if filled with 4 adult
    - Rear seat can't be folded
To Improve
- Put some noise suppression
- Improve the electrical system
- Rear suspension need to be more stiff

SV CVT (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 5 Years
Fuel Economy: 10.0 km/litre (10.0 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
    Reasonably spacious + Good legroom
Ideal for a first car (fresh graduates don't really have much choices due to the high tax imposed on foreign car makers)
Low road tax and insurance to maintain (ideal for those tight on budget and just need a car for relatively short distance travelling)
Fuel consumption is VERY POOR. Clocked around 10km/litre since its mostly 90% town driving for me.
Mine is the BLM without the CVT gearbox, thus explains the higher fuel consumption and rather noisy engine rev when you are on the highway (4th gear at 100km/h on a 1.3 litre can be a total nightmare)
Suspension starts to become poor after just 2 years (most of the time its just 2-3 adults in my car)
Wind noise is annoying at high speed
    Plastics everywhere
Gear indicators (P,R,N,D) are not lit (even Wira also was lit)
Only 1 air bag when I purchased it the BLM version
After sales service with "tidak apa" atittude - just check and go. Feedback some fan belt noise issue and it was unresolved everytime I highlight it during 5000km service intervals.
To Improve
If potential buyers really need to consider this car due to tight budget, I would recommend the 1.6 CVT. 1.3 is quite underpowered if there are more than 3 adults in the car. Skip the 1.3, it is really underpowered and fuel consuming because you will need to rev hard!

FLX SE 1.6 Executive CVT (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 11.0 km/litre (9.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 3,000 km/month
-it was kinda worthy that bought 1.6L vehicle with a price below RM 50k .
-Good on Handling and cornering while hitting to above 80km .
-SAT mode was useful while overtaking as it similar like 6-speed auto with the high acceleration.
-the sound system is quite good as it was only 4 speaker, but given enough bass and surround .
-air-condition was always perform well from previous proton until now , it's cool.
-the NVH from Saga is kinda worst as even the speed only 40km/h but it the road and tyre was noisy .
-The CVT gearbox was not responsive well as was not smooth as you though .
-the fuel consumption was the bad as full tank only can be travel to 320km .
-the space was too small as compare with other segment .
-the steering wheel is too hard to spin it , as need use more energy to spin it .
To Improve
-Proton had to improve on their audio player was which is having the Bluetooth function that allows user to connect for answer phone call and play song via the phone .
-the multi-info display should impose for the fuel consumption reading and range .
-the car should come with 60:40 fold seat for more space to put on some long item .

    2. Cheap [39k for a full spec prefacelift saga]
    3. Surprisingly my power window has been working fine
    4. Really bright headlamps with foglamps.
    5. Door opens till almost 90degrees.
    6. 4 years now, hasnt broken down and give any major issues
    7. Design looks still up to date till today
    1. Flimsy car key, broke twice
    2. Engine is so-so. Hard to accelerate with full load
    3. Any speed above 120km/h, it feels unstable
    4. Back seats dont fold down
    5. Proton's standard battery is really bad, have to change to other brands.
    6. Old Myvi has better fuel consumption

Fuel Economy: 12.0 km/litre (8.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 500 km/month
    1. very stable ride at high speed, thanks to the heavier body. (no joke! this car weights more than other local brand B seg
    2. bright head lights.
    3. freezing air-cond. You might not need a window tint.
    4. CVT transmission is good!!
    5. lots of freedom for aftermarket accessories lik speaker upgrade, sport rims etc. quite a good choice for those who like to do aesthetic upgrades to their car.
    6. Good fuel economy
    7. very smooth braking!! better than the best selling P2 model. i like this the most!
    8. big reinforcement bars at d back of rear seats. Never seen any kind of this in other local cars.
    9. Rm36k OTR with all these feat. i am still happy with it despite flaws stated below
    1. the interior terribly filled with plastics! tonnes of plastics!!
    2. it would be better if the seat position is lower. i can only see d front bumper of d cars at d back through d side mirror although i am sitting at lowest position.
    3. Where is Blaupunkt head unit? i prefer this over Clarion.
    4. it would be better if d speedometer is lit up. can't really see without turn on the lights.
    5. need some time to get used to the cvt transmission. you have to let d car roll by itself before u step on accelerator pedal to eliminate d jerk. the transmission need about 1-2 second to fully engage the clutch. (Yes! Proton's CVT uses a clutch.. according to technician).
To Improve
1. seat position should be lower.
2. improve noise insulation
3 bigger rims and tyres. 175/65/R14 would be better.
4. usb connectivity
5. LED speedometer like what can be found in Myvi.

To Proton!! You can strip off anything to cut costs!! but please DO NOT remove ABS in any of your upcoming models! I have experienced events where i wish my car have ABS system. Please!! ABS really can save life!

Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 12.0 km/litre (8.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 750 km/month
    1. Reasonably good fuel efficiency. Can get around 12 km/litre in city and 17.7 km/ litre on hwy. Got this fuel efficiency after 10000 km service
    2. Great handling for a b-segment car. Very stable in highway even above 120 km/h. Nice corner entry and corner exit. Nice cornering stability. Great grip.
    3. Superb acceleration for a 1.3 litre. Got 10.47 seconds from 0-100 km/h.
    4. Very spacious and practical and the ride is comfortable.
    1. Bad after sales service. must wait so long to service my car in proton service centre
    2. Interior too much hard plastic
    3. the cvt jerks at low speeds
    4. Engine and wind noise is apparent in cruising speeds in highway.
To Improve
1. need to improve after sales quality and people by charging less and conducting their work more efficiently
2. Proton needs to tweak the cvt to reduce jerkiness and further improve fuel consumption
3. take more effort to improve interior quality even for entry level car.

    - Sedan with 1.6 litre engine below Rm50k
    - Powerful and smooth engine.
    - Large leg space for front and rear passenger.
    - OEM sound system is just great
    - Handling is great where i can drive through a corner at 80km/h without any worries.(after install lowered springs, the car can go through corner at 120km/h)
    - Driving above 120km/h on highway and the car still going smoothly .
    - Interior lot of sound when driving pass the rough road.
    - Rattling sound on four doors and rear seat belt side.
    - Front part driver side rattling sound when driving pass rough road.Send to SC and they just tighten the screw. But after few minutes drive, the sound came back.

Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 16.0 km/litre (6.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,500 km/month
-very fuel efficient since i got around 16.5km/ liter. with 1 bar of the fuel indicator i got around 50km for the normal traffic and high traffic i got around 45km. i think this is fuel efficiency compare to viva elite auto with 1.0 liter engine. this car beat perodua viva fuel consumption.

-CVT transmission is the answer why it has good fuel consumption.
-no shift shock during gear change. its like to be no gear

-ENGINE with combining with CVT (continuosly variable transmission) make the car to move more smoother compare to other car that use conventional 4FWD automatic transmission(AT). Proton CVT is made by punch power train from belgium.

    - CVT normally used in wealth car manufacturer such as ROVER, MERCS, BMW , and other.

-CVT give my way to be more smoother and engine give fast respond during fuel paddle is press.
    - engine with DOHC( double head cam).

-Its also has SAT system ( step automatic transmission). u can feel sporty drive and aggressive drive but the fuel consumption increase during this mode.

    -engine more quite during drive
    -no front speaker
-no LCD or factory navigation system ( must install with your own)
    -rims alloy 14"
To Improve
-rims 14' mush be replace with 15'' to look more sporty.
-door close absorb must be more efficiency.

Top speed below 120km feels good, if above than start pray. Taking corners great below 80km at any angles. Leather seats felt good. Good pick up. Boot area big enough for 2 big luggage.
Head light leak when rain, need to change cvt oil at 20k, if follow manual wait till 60k than jerk while slow moving. Need to throw away CAT to improve fc and gain back some power after a year (average 20k miles). Need to upgrade tyres to 195/55/15 from 195/50/15, noise from wheels solved. Need to do lots of sound proof from bonnet to boot coz very noisy on hard surface road. Diff color tone on body & bumper (mine is red), absorber, brake pads & brake disk won't last 40k, all will wear out by that time. Service center sucks, both mechanics & price.
To Improve
sound proof, tyre size, head light, service center workers attitute especially HQ the so called center of excellent, selling price & warranty period.

Fuel Economy: 12.0 km/litre (8.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,500 km/month
-Good handling and powerful engine also very stable on highway(110-120km/h) for this segment car.
-CVT helps reduced fuel consumption(12km/l), even my old proton 1.3 MT also consume more than this.
-The body kits and 15-inch rim enhance the look of the car to more sporty and stylish.
-Headlamps and fog lamp are really bright.
    -Spacious truck capacity.
-A very cold air-con car, for my car cold level minimum and air blower level 1 is enough even on afternoon.
-Basic safety specification which contain 2 airbags and ABS.
-It is affordable at the price of 50k for this mid-high specification.
-Lack of sound proof quality, engine sound are very large when the car speed under 40 km/h.
-Rear window can only open half.
-The rear door is ridiculously and extremely difficult to open, sometimes it jam.
-Build quality need to improve, adhesive used for body kit are lousy which leave hole between.

-engine is powerful but a bit slow response, once the rpm reaches 3000rpm you can feel the torque is building rapidly
    -smooth acceleration with CVT gearbox
-good fuel consumption at 11km/litre on heavy traffic road or 13+km/litre for highway driving
-3 year warranty on engine and gearbox
-affordable 1.6-litre sedan you can find with alloy wheels, leather seats, fog lights, 2 airbags & ABS
    -340-litre of trunk capacity
-noise in cabin is a bit too high, gearbox will generate extra whine noise, don't bother use radio on highway-driving
-interior quality wasn't top-notch but overall still ok for me
-lacks the small-but-convinient features like wiper wipe-once, headlamp warning buzz (when engine turn off), automatic driver-side power window

    - Nice sound system (built-in USB with CD Player that supports MP3) with audio controls at the steering.
    - Very cold air conditioning..
    - Good fuel consumption when driving passively. 80 km/h on a highway can get 6.62 L/100km
    - ABS + EBD definitely works and saved me at least twice.
    - Predictable oversteer and easy to recover.
    - Very bright headlights.
    - Very bright fog lamps. Yes, it is blindingly bright and gives extra visibility during heavy rain or fog.
    - Very stable at high speeds.
    - OEM RamCar battery lasts very long. Its been 2.5 years now and so far no issues.
    - OEM headlights prone to leaks when raining. Claimed warranty and replaced thrice, all eventually leaked again.
    - Floor mat does not stick well and gets slippery.
    - The clock slows down after a while. Needs constant adjustment every few weeks.
To Improve
- NVH can be improved but for me it does not matter as I prefer it as it is because with sound, you can detect problems much faster.

FLX Executive CVT (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 10.0 km/litre (10.0 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
    - Less fuel consumption when going on 80-100 km/h
    - Quite spacious
    - Stable after 2 years drive because I haven't need to spend on anything except for mileage service.
    - Not a very powerful car but still can go up to 160km/h on a long highway.
    - The air con is very powerful and cold enough.
    - The noise when driving on highway is too loud. Will need to turn the music to a very high volume to be able to hear it.
    - The brakes pedal sound started to be noticeable after 2 years.
    - The clock in the car always become slower. After few months, it became one hour slower than normal time. Need to always readjust it.
To Improve
- Not so pleased with the noise when driving. Should improve the soundproof system
- Feels like always being charged extra by the service center. Its better if the price of service can be lowered down.
- More stability needed. Like when turning at corner, driving through a bumper and so on.
- Hope to have build in USB to play music.

    - Extremely poor fuel consumption for city driving (9km++/L)

    - Not reliable (CamPro keep has issues, unlucky me?)

FLX Executive CVT (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
RON95, Mileage: 3,000 km/month
    - Fuel consumption is fairly good compared to older model,
    - Spacious,
    - Stability during long distance,
    - Good handling,
    - Value for money - get sedan below rm50k, can save money for other use!
    - Service cost is quite high compared to other Malaysian model,
    - CVT is not meant for racing, drive slowly and it will serve us happily
    - wind noise is noticeable, NVH not at par as competitor is same segment.

To Improve
- Interior design especially the dashboard is not up to date (to install after market 2-din display is not worth because the space for audio is too low; not eye level),
- Service center should be friendlier, more wallet friendly
- Should provide 5 years warranty with unlimited mileage + maybe 3 years free maintenance to attract more people to use it
- General problem to be improved/checked when buying this car (can settle at Service Center):
1) rear braking knocking noise
2) squeaking of front absorber
3) door sensor is not working for me when first get the car
4) driver seat squeaking when lean/squeeze on it.
