2.0V (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 12.3 km/litre (8.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 3,000 km/month
    1. Sporty look with LED headlight, LED DRL and LED rear light improve looks and keyless alarn with push start. VSC with Traction control.
    2. Interior combined black leather and looks premium.
    3. Space is good enough for 4 adults and one children. Back legroom is very good
    1. Sound proof not so good. Door panels looks like cheap plastic mold.
    2. Rattling noise door, dashboard and back speaker panel.
    3. Comes standard with 2 airbags. Have to pay more to get 7 airbag!!
    4. CVT noise can be heard under hard acceleration.
    5. Paint easily chip. Coating thickness is minimized for cost saving i guess.
To Improve
1. Sound proofing of the car. Old toyota altis much better sound insulation than this car.
2. Pricing is too steep with less features.
3. Interior material need to be upgraded.
Yes, I would recommend this car

1.8G (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 15.0 km/litre (6.7 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 2,500 km/month
    - smooth cvt and responsive at high speed
    - good legroom for driver & passengers
    - good fuel efficiency
    - great outlook design
    - seriously lack of safety features especially for the car with price over RM100K
    - terrible soundproof, you can easily hear the truck engine sound when it is approaching to you (behind)
    - the paint is so thin
    - the driver seat is not comfortable due to its size not big enough to support driver's thigh especially tall people
    - Defective temperature control as the air-cond has been set to the coldest. No difference in coldness whether it is 28 degrees Celcius or 16 degrees Celcius
    - quality of leather seat is not good, easily crack
To Improve
- improve safety features
- improve soundproof

1.8E (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 10.0 km/litre (10.0 L/100 km), RON97, Mileage: 1,200 km/month
    - Refined engine & quiet CVT gearbox
    - Responsive when overtaking
    - Spacious rear seats & boot area
    - Effective & powerful air-conditioner's airflow for the whole car
    - Stylish & sporty outlook
    - Very serious wheel misalignment from day 1 the car is delivererd. Toes, front right camber & caster were all seriously misaligned that cause high speed instability (>100km/h) even at straight line, not to mention poor cornering ability and braking performance.
    - Due to the above, it almost caused the car to swirve sideways towards the highway's centre divider when I braked the car at about 100km/h on Karak highway.
    - The car also can't stay on straight line in high speed, and when it was braked slightly harder, it started to lose control of the front despite on dry tarmac when I was on the way to Batu Pahat. This is due to a serious misaligment of the camber and caster.
    - Service Centre staff has poor knowledge of the car's suspension set-up.
    - CVT re-hunts for the correct gearing jerks each time after lifting off the accelerator and picking up again.
    - Poor tuning of the gearbox's fuzzy logic often cause vehicle jerks forward whenever lifting off brakes.
    - Air-condioner's compressor will not kick in immediately until the car has moved a couple of hundred metres or engine is revved high enough each morning or the engine has been cooled down substantially.
    - Defective temperature control as the air-cond has been set to the coldest. No difference in coldness whether it is 28 degrees Celcius or 16 degrees Celcius.
    - Over-worked compressor has slowly caused the air-cond to malfunction temporarily when driving in stop-and-go heavy traffic, and in hot and sunny weather.
    - Poor sound system that hardly has any mid-frequency voice heard from the 2 front tweeters.
    - No Vehicle Stability Control & Traction Control. Car prone to moving sideways in wet conditions at high speed.
    - Poor safety features with only 2 airbags.
To Improve
- Proper installations of suspension system & QC checks of its set-up.
- Air-cond needs to be re-designed.
- Thorough change of the audio system.
- To add more airbags, VSC & TC.
No, I would not recommend this car

1.8E (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 9.6 km/litre (10.4 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 800 km/month
-smooth cvt and responsive at high speed
    -back leg room very big
-exterior design is nice and luxury design
city driving 9.6km/l while driving to penang only uses 1 and half bar of tank or 14km/l
-very steep price yet they still compromise on quality not exactly what u want from a 100k car
-exterior paint chips off very easily
-the longer you drive, more sound will appear from dashboard, pillar, boot
-noisy steering as the steering motor is in front
-cvt not 100% smooth at low gear..sometimes not willing to move or sluggish
-as this is a new design model, problem as sure to arise.
-very very bad and poor roof insulation when raining is like milo tin
-wind noise at driver side 70kmph
-abs knocking sound everytime your accelerate or reverse
-front driver leg room abit cramp
-I really have a headache pinpointing out the sounds in the cabin which most altis user has it.
To Improve
safety is to be improved as why other car makers can give 6 airbags and traction ctrl at the same price but Toyota cannot..
No, I would not recommend this car

1.8E (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 13.0 km/litre (7.7 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
    - Great looking design
    - Cosy interior with premium feel
    - Good quality materials and finishing with no rattling sound
    - Very spacious with good legroom for driver and passengers
    - The angle for Back of Rear passenger seat can be adjusted for passenger seating comfort
    - Engine and gear transmission very smooth. Effortless driving and pickup
    - Good fuel efficiency. I am now driving 13km/l for city driving in Kuala Lumpur. Will reach 1000km in a couple of days' time. Expecting even better FC after servicing.
    - Rear boot can be opened using remote key
    - Mediocre factory-fitted sound system. The sound system (and rather poor speakers) sound muffled and dull. Does not compliment a car of this stature.
    - No smart entry or engine start system. Still key operated.
    - Absence of vehicle stability control and only 2 airbags
    - Rear boot needs to be closed with a certain amount of force
    - Still offering a short 100,000km or 3 year warranty despite competitors offering much more.
To Improve
- Please replace the sound system (player and speakers). The current one is embarassing to say the least.
- Add more features expected of a C-segment car eg. smart entry and engine start system, VSC and more airbags

1.8E (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 13.0 km/litre (7.7 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 3,000 km/month
    Good handling & pleasant ride
Good fuel consumption on highway (14km/L for 5,oookm)
Responsive driving & good speed pickup
only 2 airbag & less feature compared to Kia Cerato
Poor noise isolation to damper road noise
Steep pricing - No VSC ,Smartkey & Push start for 1.8E compared to Honda Civic & Hyundai Elantra
To Improve
Rear air-con for back passenger & improve noise isolation to give premium feeling

Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 16.0 km/litre (6.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 5,000 km/month
    1) Looks ... Second to mazda 3
    2) Fuel consumption is good .... Got ave 16km/l .... Drive 75% on highways ... Now at 10k km
    3) nippy ... surprisingly feels faster than 2.0 variant .... Just guessing after test driving the 2.0
    4) 3 times maintenace at TSC ipoh was pleasant and price was ok.
    5) ride is excellent .... Feels like a camry
    6) spacious rear seat .... Make other c segment undesirable
    1) handling good but still far from ford focus.
    2) people often mistaken this car as vios.
    3) price is on the high side with minimal accesories.
To Improve
1) NVH and handling can to be improved ....

2.0V (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 13.4 km/litre (7.5 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 3,000 km/month
    1. Looks, from 'keen look' theme. its exterior looks not an unclish anymore. LED headlight, LED DRL and LED rear light improve looks and functions.
    2. Interior space: Above average compared to competitors for its segment. Especially on rear passenger side. Its a very good car for family.
    3. Upholster: As mine is a leather, its very comfortable, sporty and black colour finishing complete its package. I like the sporty feel for the driver seat. Its not soft but also not too hard. Its curve support my body very well + lumbar support further makes it more comfortable as it can adjust perfectly according to my back posture.
    4. CVT gearbox: Most people are afraid when seeing any vehicles using this gearbox due to its low reliability in the long run but in terms of driving experience, its very-very-very comfortable, exciting and makes you in control of your car better. Because from my experience, it translate your pedal to actual acceleration that you wish in sync. Overtaking is easy without any delay due to downshift process like from normal autogearbox.
    5. Fuel efficiency: very good especially on highway. RPM is at 2k even at 120kmh. Mostly benefit from CVT i think (not sure about this). Currently my car clocking at 13.4km/L from 60:40 (highway: town) drive.
    6. Sport rim: very nice looking.
    7. Optitron meter: super nice.
    8. Touch-sensitive & sensor driver door button : Very well done feature. Add luxurious feel.
    9. NVH (dry weather): Good even at high speed - 160kmh
    1. Roof insulation during raining so bad that my daughter woke up from sleep after sudden rain.
    2. Price: Quite steep even they include safety tint in the package. For me, the this car should be worth around 3-5k less. Im not an expert, but as a customer, after through comparing with other cars in the segment, you feel this could be the appropriate price.
    3. Car body roll: Acceptable but passenger side could feel a significant body rolling during fast and hard cornering.
To Improve
Generally toyota corolla altis meets my expectation as a comfort car for family. However, if they spend a bit more on cost of roof insulation, it could be a perfect car for me. Although, as we know toyota aftersale service is among the best in this country, I hope after my complaint at toyota 3s centre, they would respond well to this issue.

2.0G (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 12.0 km/litre (8.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 2,500 km/month
'Keen look', responsive transmission, nice dashboard and meter combination, smooth driving, reliable & trusted engine/brand
Steep pricing, less safety features (only 2 airbags across the range), lack of features (keyless entry, push start, leather seat, LED projector headlamps all reserve to top range 2.0V) even the 120K+ 2.0G version doesn't come with much features compare to 1.8E version
To Improve
Toyota should make TSC, TC passive safety features standard across the range. 6 airbags, TSC & TC are just necessary across C-segment car. Rear vent, leather seat may come as an option.
